To celebrate 20 years of Spirit of Speyside and the incredible contribution Speyside communities make to our Festival, we arranged for a Toposcope to be built at the Telford Bridge, Craigellachie to show the location of all our Speyside Distilleries
The Toposcope displays the power of Speyside in that we have 42 distilleries within a 20-kilometre circle from that spot and a good number just outside that circle and shows how vitally important this area is to Scotch Whisky Production
We had planned to officially hand this over to the representatives of the Craigellachie community, just before the 2020 Festival but with the lockdown that was not possible but we were delighted to complete that task last week
We have to thank Gary Laing Stonecraft from Rothes on doing such a brilliant job of building the base and a very big thank you to @Henderson Decorators who have painstakingly cleaned and re-painted the Brass plaque so that it looks brand new again and have sealed it to protect it from the weather going forward
We hope you will be visiting this and Craigellachie Bridge during the Spirit of Speyside Limited Edition Festival and in the years to come
