At the heart of Spirit of Speyside is our commitment to celebrating Single Malt Scotch Whisky and, of course, Speyside region in all its glory. Across recent years an historic whisky revival has been progressing on the rugged edge of Speyside.
Just under a year ago, and after many years of planning, The Cabrach Distillery hosted their First Spirit Ceremony. This moment heralded the return of (legal) whisky making to The Cabrach for the first time in over 170 years and across recent months The Cabrach team have dialled in production of an exceptional New Make Spirit, hosted groups and events, and driven forward renewed hope and opportunity in The Cabrach.
Importantly, The Cabrach Distillery is a Community Interest Company (CIC). As a one-of-a-kind social enterprise, the team are not only focused on crafting an extraordinary Single Malt Scotch Whisky, but they have further committed all future profits to the continued regeneration of The Cabrach and surrounding Speyside communities. This is a social enterprise and model of change like few others, which in turn is attracting attention.
Already nominated for the One-To-Watch Award at the prestigious Social Enterprise Awards Scotland, they have now been entered into the People’s Choice Award which is decided by public vote. So, we’re asking our Spirit of Speyside community to lend their support and vote. Every vote amplifies The Cabrach’s ‘whisky with purpose’ story, and every vote celebrates Scotch Whisky and Speyside.
