Enjoy a fascinating and rewarding hands-on experience in Dufftown, transporting you right back to nature with beautiful, raw organic materials and traditional woodcraft tools, often lost to a bygone era. Lots of handcrafted products for sale including Gedwoods unique wooden malt whisky tumblers, rustic stools and ash gates.

Working with a range of rustic local green wood grown along the famous Speyside Way, personally sourced and selected by your woodcraft tutor Ged, the Countryside Ranger, you’ll be immersed in a truly local, rewarding and environmentally conscious skill building practice. Under expert tuition, you’ll learn about the unique properties of various wood species, master the use of classic tools and hone age-old techniques, to come away with your very own handcrafted creation and reminder of your experience!

Courses available in making whisky tumblers, rustic stools, ash gates, shave horses and pole lathe turning. Bespoke courses, group bookings and private tuition are all available.
