The picturesque heritage Dallas Dhu Distillery opens its doors to celebrate traditional whisky production, welcoming whisky lovers from around the world.

In 1898, the Dallas Dhu Distillery was designed and constructed by legendary icons of Scotch whisky, Alexander Edward and Charles Doig. After nearly a century of producing classic Speyside single malt, the distillery fired its stills for the final time in March 1983.

Today, Aceo – a leading Scotch whisky company with nearly 30 years experience in the industry – is reviving Dallas Dhu Distillery, a historic site where time has stood still. Their vision is to return traditional distilling to the site using the heritage equipment in the wonderfully preserved production buildings, while embracing sustainable practices for the future.

Dallas Dhu Distillery is becoming a vibrant whisky destination and community hub, not only does it celebrate the craft and the social history of whisky making in Speyside, but also, hosts events for the local community, including cèilidhs and its annual fun for all ‘Open Day’.

The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival showcases some fantastic exclusive events at Dallas Dhu Distillery — indeed, winning Best New Event in 2025 — however, the doors are open all year round. So, whenever you visit Speyside, you can choose your own Dallas Dhu experience and discover this historic distillery at your own pace and in your own time.
