During her long career as an International Brand Ambassador, Ann travelled the world. An acknowledged expert, she was responsible for communicating about a wide range of malt and premium blended Scotch whisky brands as well as delivering in depth and bespoke training for guests from many countries. Ann’s contribution to the Scotch Whisky industry was recognised when she was made a Master of the Quaich, in recognition of her exceptional service to the Scotch Whisky industry.
Over 25 years ago, Ann was one of the founders of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, serving as a director for almost 20 years. She now chairs the organising committee responsible for delivering the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival’s Whisky School.
The Dram Room Tastings

Ann offers a choice of engaging, enjoyable and memorable whisky tastings in her Dram Room to increase your understanding of the many different facets of Scotland’s iconic spirit and enhance your appreciation of every dram. Ann’s comfortable Dram Room on the family farm is located between Macallan and Cardhu and accommodates up to a dozen guests. Tastings are “illustrated” with up to six tasting samples and focus on themes like age, region, style, cask selection etc. Sessions last one and a half hours to allow time for questions and the exchange of ideas. Ann offers a repertoire of entertaining whisky experiences for bespoke or private groups wherever is convenient - a castle, a private house or in clients’ own accommodation throughout Scotland. She tailors these experiences to suit a range of celebrations, a conference, an incentive trip or corporate events.

Edinburgh Whisky Academy - Ann offers their Certificate in Scotch Whisky and Certificate of Sensory Appreciation courses which lead to independent accreditation. These can take place in Speyside or elsewhere over one to two days or as modules.
