Master Distiller Billy Walker is renowned for his peerless wood management capabilities. For this rare edition in their Masters of Wood series, Billy has selected casks that matured fine Sherry within a traditional solera system for over 55 years before beginning a new chapter at The GlenAllachie.
These venerable ex-solera casks impart layers of rich dried fruit and warm spice, creating a luxuriously complex single malt that celebrates the harmony of wood, time and craftmanship.
The GlenAllachie proudly present this Masters of Wood bottling at 50% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, allowing its exceptional character to reign supreme.
Saturday 12pm - Glenlivet - The Glenlivet 23 Year Old Single Cask Edition. Discover an exclusive expression from The Glenlivet usually only available at the distillery Brand Home in this VIP special pour tasting experience. Matured in a Second Fill American Oak cask yielding only 168 bottles, this Single Malt whisky opens with aromas of sweet toasted oak, red apples, ripe pears, charred orange and freshly baked gingerbread. Saturday 6pm - 1975 Speyburn 50 Year Old Single Malt, Limited Edition
This remarkable distillery exclusive marks a true milestone – Speyburn's oldest ever bottling, a limited edition whisky matured for an extraordinary 50 years.
A combination of first‑fill and refill European oak butts and American oak hogsheads, filled in 1975 and matured until 2017, before a final period of finishing in first‑fill Oloroso sherry casks from 2017 to 2026.
Its deep bronze colour hints at the time and care behind every drop of this rare 50 year old whisky. On the nose, candied citrus and dried fruits sit comfortably alongside soft baking spices, antique oak and a gentle touch of smoke. The palate is rich yet welcoming, with baked apple and spiced raisins lifted by citrus peel and balanced by treacle toffee sweetness. A rare whisky shaped by time, crafted in small quantities, made to be savoured and remembered.
