Auld Alliance dinner & Scottish fiddleBack to events listing
- 4 May
- The Seven Stills
This year the Seven Stills is celebrating the Auld Alliance highlighting a Scottish-French theme throughout the evening.
Your dinner will consist of:
Arrival drink – a classic French cocktail (made and mixed by a true Parisian!)
French onion Soup – paired with a red Scottish ale
Boeuf Bourguignon, gratin dauphinois & vegetables – paired with a glass of French wine or a peaty Scotch
Roquefort cheese – paired with Lagavulin 16
Pears in quince jelly with ricotta mousse & crumbly ginger biscuit – you can choose to pair your dessert from one of two local Speyside whiskies - Dufftown Singleton 12 or a Glen Elgin 12
Chef Patrick Bernoud will be serving his very special French onion soup, the fruity flavour of the ale will exaggerate the caramelized onions & leave you wanting another bowl... and another beer. As Patrick is from the Burgundy region of France, the Boeuf bourguignon is one of his favorite recipes - which is handed down by his grandmother (of course!). He has chosen the famous Roquefort cheese and paired it with the equally famous Islay Lagavulin. To finish you will be served a delicious creamy dessert which you can pair from a choice of two Speyside fresh and fruity malts, et voilà ! Bon appétit!
As part of the evening, local Aberlour musicians Reelers Rant will be providing the entertainment. Not to be missed !
