Whisky Tasting: Glen Deveron and AberfeldyBack to events listing
- 4 May
- St James Hall
Hosted by Denny MacTaggart, Training Manager for Bacardi Global Travel Retail, this tasting offers a rare opportunity to sample the Global Travel Retail exclusive expressions from Glen Deveron and Aberfeldy. The line up includes The Royal Burgh Collection from Glen Deveron (16 Years Old, 20 Years Old and 28 Years Old) and the new 16 Years Old and 21 Years Old both Madeira cask finishes from Aberfeldy.
Glen Deveron is made at MacDuff Distillery in Banff and has been part of the John Dewars subsidiary of Bacardi since 1993. It is the backbone of the William Lawson blend.
Aberfeldy is the spiritual home of Dewars blended whisky but its single malts are not to be missed. Aberfeldy say from its earliest days they have employed local folk who understand the secrets of great whisky. They still use time-honoured techniques: for instance long fermentation, achieved in classic wooden washbacks, to conjure their characteristic honeyed notes. This is a great opportunity to try the Madeira finish expressions only released in November 2018. It is one of the fastest growing Scottish single malts. Come see what the fuss is about!
