Treat Yourself to a ‘Ceilidh on the Train’!Back to events listing
- 4 May
- Dufftown Station
The Keith & Dufftown Railway (The Whisky Line) is an eleven mile line linking the World's Malt Whisky Capital, Dufftown, to the market town of Keith. The line, which was reopened by volunteers during 2000 and 2001, passes through some of Scotland's most picturesque scenery, with forest and farmland, lochs and glens, castles and distilleries.
So, why not treat yourself to a leisurely trip through some of the most beautiful scenery in the U.K. whilst enjoying the terrific music of local musicians Calum Mackenzie Jones & The Trad Project who will entertain you with foot tappin’ hand clappin’ traditional Scottish tunes and songs whilst you enjoy the scenery and the complimentary dram! 2018 saw The Trad Project go from strength to strength with appearances at numerous festivals - Speyfest, Killin, Tiree, Eden & Belladrum to name a few. It culminated with them performing to a crowd of 10,000+ at the Inverness Red Hot Highland fling.
These talented young musicians will play for you on the 13.30 train from Dufftown and the returning 14.30 train from Keith on Saturday of the Whisky Festival.
Fares are £11.00 adult return and £7.00 single. Times given are for a return journey.
A dram and whisky cake is included each way.
