Weaver & Painter Maggie Riegler will be remembered at The Gallery in Aberlour during the Whisky Festival.  There will be a collection of her work which will include a full range of her distinctive prints, some unseen original paintings and many of her intricate woven pieces; some never seen before as they were only completed just before her illness took hold.   Her work has been exhibited in museums such as The Victoria & Albert Museum, Royal Scottish Museum; Durham Light infantry Museum and the SSA(Edinburgh.

This very special event will be held from Easter Friday until the end of May. Its relevance during the whisky festival includes a display of the complete collection of limited edition whisky bottles with labels beautifully designed by Maggie (for the highlander inn & the Craigellachie Hotel) and her series of Coopers at work, as well as various distillery paintings.

Her very much loved Swedish loom will be on display as will the dress she wove for her wedding day.  Her husband Stewart Johnston an accomplished potter during the 70s & 80s will also have some of his work on display.
