Welcome to Speyside Cooperage, home to the ancient art of coopering since 1947. Still using many traditional methods, our coopers are busy shaping, shaving and charring casks against the clock.
The use of wooden casks dates back to the earliest civilisations when they were used to store and transport community commodities. While metals and plastics have long superseded most wooden containers, when it comes to the maturations of wines and spirits there is nothing to equal the oak cask.
Join us as we take you on a journey through the lifecycle of the cask, see our highly skilled coopers at work, try it for yourself with our mini casks or simply relax and enjoy our gift shop.
