Festival Travel Options

Festival Taxi Vouchers

The Festival promotes responsible drinking and we are delighted to provide subsidised transport to help visitors get around this rural area.

The taxi vouchers are excellent value, and can be bought online, or at the Festival Information Hubs, for just £3.50.  They have a face value of £5 that can be used towards payment of a taxi fare with one of the many participating taxi companies listed.  Any number of vouchers can be used per trip together with cash.  Each voucher is worth £5 towards a taxi trip but no change will be given if the value of the voucher exceeds the price of the taxi fare.  All travel arrangements should be made directly with the taxi operators.

There are limited amounts of vouchers available and we ask that you limit your purchase to 5 per person so that more people can enjoy discounted travel.

Taxi vouchers ordered online are posted by mail to a UK address or can be collected at a Festival Information Hub.

Getting Around

Speyside is BIG!  It has to be to accommodate over 50 fantastic distilleries and one of the unique features of the Festival is traveling around events, with other Festival goers, sharing experiences and recommendations on the best drams of the day.

To make it easier we have a dedicated transport network and the option of buying the transport ticket that works best for you.  Whether you are staying for one day or the whole festival we have it covered.  Working in partnership with public transport providers you can use your Festival transport tickets not only on Festival buses but on certain routes throughout Speyside.

Public Transport

Stagecoach buses are one of our transport partners and will be running Routes 36 (Whisky Trail) and Routes 34 (Aviemore to Grantown on Spey) throughout the Festival.  You can find timetables below.  Please note that these buses will run throughout the festival using the Saturday timetable on Sunday and Monday.

You can also download train timetables here.
