The Speyside Visitor Centre is situated in Aberlour on the banks of the River Spey and beside the Speyside Way. It provides information on tourist attractions, distillery visits, events, accommodation, eating places and shops not only in Aberlour but for the whole Speyside Area.
It is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm from Easter until October. The Centre is manned by trained volunteers who have a wide knowledge and experience from living on Speyside and who are happy to share their knowledge of the geography and history of Speyside with visitors. The Centre has a store of information on all visitor’s needs, and provides displays and video presentations on interesting features of Speyside. There is free internet access.
This year it is planned to host art and craft displays, and musical and other events, to provide an enhanced visitor experience. The Centre is pleased to offer help to all visitors and particularly those on walking, cycling and activity holidays. Next door to the Centre is the Old Station Tea-room where teas, coffees, soft drinks and home-made pancakes, scones, cakes and biscuits are sold.
