The Glenlivet
Nestled deep in a remote valley of Speyside, Glenlivet was an ideal location for illicit whisky smugglers to hide away from the ever-watchful excise men. In the early 19th century there were about 200 illicit stills operating in the parish of Glenlivet alone. When a new law brought in a more reasonable rate of taxation for distillation, George Smith was the first man to take up the challenge, and in 1824 The Glenlivet was born.
George’s battles with the whisky smugglers and with a remote and, often hostile, climate paid off and sales of The Glenlivet flourished. When prohibition ended in the US in 1933, George’s legacy spread across the Atlantic, and The Glenlivet has never looked back.
By 2008, The Glenlivet had continued to grow and the decision was taken to expand the distillery to meet growing demand. The new expansion was opened by HRH Prince Charles in 2010, and the tradition of using wooden washbacks was maintained, whilst all the materials for the expansion were sourced from companies within a 30 miles radius of the distillery. Today, The Glenlivet Distillery stills stands true to George’s vision, and his legacy live on. More

Benromach & Gordon & MacPhail
Located on the outskirts of the ancient market town of Forres in Speyside is Scotland's best-kept secret. From a small and almost lost distillery emerged a single malt with distinctive qualities reflecting its exclusive hand made credentials as well as encapsulating the self-reliance, sophistication and modern values of Scotland today.
Just two experienced distillers create Benromach using the finest Scottish barley and the purest spring water from the nearby Romach Hills. They personally ensure that only the highest quality spirit is filled into sturdy oak casks before being left to mature at Benromach Distillery for many years.
At Benromach we passionately craft high quality single malt whisky with minimal impact on the environment.
Golden in colour, with a unique warm mellow character - the secret of Benromach is too good to be kept. Stylish and sophisticated, Benromach is a drink to share special moments with special people.

Created in 1840, GlenGrant, a single malt Scotch whisky, is the world's No. 3 best-selling single malt whisky and the market leader in Italy. Known for its clear colour and pure taste derived from the purifiers and stills designed by its inventor James Grant, GlenGrant distinguishes itself for its quality, authenticity and versatility.
Each year around 10.000 visitors discover the magic of The Glen Grant's distillery. Connoisseurs and first time imbibers from around the world tour our distillery and often take home bottles and memorabilia of their unique Single Malt experience. Visitors can choose from guided tours and private tastings offered by our friendly distillery staff.
When James Grant founded his distillery in Speyside, he decided to celebrate the natural beauty of the area by building an elegant Victorian garden. We have recently restored these beautiful gardens to their full original glory. Follow the small path as it winds its way up the garden passing glorious flowerbeds and luscious lawns. The pathway crisscrosses the stream and leads to a little cave where Major Grant kept his own private Glen Grant barrel.
