The 2018 Best New Event finalists have been chosen, here is a run through of each event:

Back Stage at Glen Moray 

Friday, 4th May - Glen Moray Distillery, Elgin - SOLD OUT

Mastery CGI 2 mediumJoin Graham Coull and Ed Dodson for a morning which will be a “Back-Stage-Pass” to an off-limits meander through their natural habitat, Glen Moray Distillery, culminating with an exclusive tasting at Glen Moray’s Newly Commissioned, VIP Tasting Suite at Hatton Hill, the former Distillery Manager’s House and Ed’s home for many years.  From nostalgic reminiscing to the latest innovations this will be a rare opportunity to gain an insight of The Master Distillers past and present. 

Off the beaten track - tour 4 distilleries

Thursday, 3rd May - Aberlour Distillery, Aberlour - SOLD OUT

Dalmunach night time mediumA day trip by coach around Dalmunach, Tormore, Braeval and Allt a Bhainne distilleries which are never normally open to visitors. A tasting and delicious lunch are included. The tour will start and finish at Aberlour Distillery.

Hosted by one Chivas Brothers’ International Brand Ambassadors you will see inside each of these fascinating distilleries. In the middle of the day you will enjoy a tutored testing and delicious buffet lunch prepared by Ghillie Basan at her house, a short trip by Land Rover from Braeval Distillery. Ghillie is an expert in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine who creates delicious dishes to accompany whisky which reveal many new facets of both. She will serve them in a setting which is truly "off the beaten track".

Speed Dating at The Glenlivet

The Glenlivet Distillery offers a unique opportunity to get to know some of Scotland’s most-loved and experienced whisky heroes in an intimate, yet fast-paced speed dating session. Master Distiller Alan Winchester will be joined by three retired managers of The Glenlivet Distillery plus the current manager for a very special tasting which it may never be possible to repeat.

SPEY Whisky & Golf

Boat Golf mediumSpeyside Distillery is delighted to be partnering with Boat of Garten Golf Club for this inaugural event as part of the 2018 Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

When it comes to golf in the Scottish Highlands, Boat of Garten should be first on every visitor's itinerary.  Designed by one of the grand-masters of golf course architecture, James Braid (1870-1950), “The Boat” is set alongside the River Spey in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The course is not only renowned as a demanding test of sporting skill but also as a magnificent setting for the game.

With this event you can enjoy both fabulous golf and International Award Winning Whiskies at the 19th hole!

Whisky Under the Stars by the Spey
