Mill of Towie Whisky Dinner - NEWBack to events listing
- 5 May
- Mill of Towie
New to the Festival, the Mill of Towie Whisky Dinner is created by the team behind the not-to-be-missed Aberlour Whisky Dinners.
Certain to be a highlight, it will offer inspired dishes expertly matched with an incomparable range of Chivas Brothers’ single malts, some at cask strength. Guests will enjoy some of the very best local produce cooked to perfection by talented chef, Eric Obry.
Martine Nouet, French gastronomy expert and whisky writer has created a special menu for this event. She matches each dish to a different single malt in order to bring out the best elements of both the food and the whisky. During the dinner Martine will explain her inspiration for each dish and entertain guests with anecdotes based on many years as the unchallenged “reine de l'alambic” or “queen of the still”.
Ann Miller, International Brand Ambassador at Chivas Brothers and one of the original team with Martine and Eric will speak about the whiskies you will enjoy with each course.
Dinner guests will begin the evening by stepping back in time with a visit to the Oatmeal Mill at the venue. Enjoy an aperitif in the Mill and marvel at the ingenuity of engineering that kept it running until the 1980’s. The Mill, built in the 1800’s is not open to the general public making this a truly unique experience.
We invite you to enjoy this convivial event which unites excellent whisky and a delicious five course dinner coupled with a visit to one of the finest examples of an oatmeal Mill of its type in Scotland.
