KCBS Barbecue Competition

  • 6 May
  • £10.00
  • Alice Littler Park
  • Aberlour

In the heart of Speyside sits The Alice Littler Park. Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) will be welcoming teams from across the world during the Spirit of the Speyside Whisky Festival to compete for various coveted barbecue titles. This will be the first (KCBS sanctioned) barbecue competition in Scotland!

On Sunday May 6th, following the judging of the competition you can come and enjoy the competitors food, as well as enjoy a dram of Aberlour whisky.  Chat with the teams and get some barbecue hints and tips from the 'Pitmasters'.

You'll also have the opportunity play your part in the judging! Once you've enjoyed the food from each competitor you'll be able to cast your vote for the best overall sample. The winner will then be crowned at around 4:30pm.

KCBS is very excited about this beautiful venue and their partnership with Aberlour Distillery, using their whisky in the 'Signature Dish' category of the competition.

What is KCBS (www.kcbs.us)?
KCBS sanctions and judges barbecue competitions across the world. It's also the largest society of barbeque enthusiasts in the world. By providing the most respected form of judging and scoring of barbecue, KCBS provides representatives for each contest and access to certified barbecue judges who have been trained in how to judge world-class barbeque, all while using a blind judging process that is fair and void of personal knowledge of teams being judged. KCBS sanctions nearly 500 events across the world.
