Want to know how you pair barbecued food with whisky? Master the process of high standard barbecuing, the flavours, the textures, the aromas and pair them with several expressions of Aberlour single malt whisky. You will get to prepare and cook quality ingredients on the barbecue. Your hosts, Harry Havinga and Dennis Mulder will explain where and how to use whisky to enhance the flavour and aroma. They are very experienced in competing in barbecue events all over the world.
Also joining us during the masterclass will be Martine Nouet, food and drinks journalist and author of 'à table'. She will talk about food pairing with whisky and more specifically on how to pair the Aberlour range. Your chance also to buy her book 'à table'.

Harry Havinga, the organiser of the first Kancas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) contest in Europe and chairman of the Dutch Barbecue Association. The ambassador and representative for two American organisations KCBS and the Steak Cookoff Association (SCA). He is also the first Grand Champion (2013) of the first UK KCBS event.
Dennis Mulder, a self-employed whisky ambassador from WhiskyWijzer for Diageo since 2000, a Keeper of the Quaich and specialises in food pairing with whisky. He has developed several types of tastings and workshops to educate as well as entertain. Dennis is lecturer at the International Whisky School in Groningen, The Netherlands. He is well known for his passion for Scotland, its people and its whisky.
In the heart of the Speyside sits The Alice Littler Park. KCBS will be welcoming teams from across the world during the Spirit of the Speyside Whisky Festival to compete for various coveted barbecue titles. This will be the first (KCBS sanctioned) barbecue competition in Scotland!
KCBS is very excited about this beautiful venue and their partnership with Aberlour Distillery, using their whisky in the 'Signature Dish' category of the competition.
