Join David Newland our local wildlife, part time whisky expert, historian and wildlife expert for this exciting walk in upper Speyside and on the way discover the lost Glenlivet Distillery.  This will be a relatively gentle walk and will be accompanied by some drams along the way.

The bus will take you from Dufftown to the start of the walk at the Queen Victoria Viewpoint and will bring you back to Dufftown after a delicious light soup and sandwich lunch at the Clockhouse Restaurant in Tomintoulh. The walk will start at Brig of Brown and finish at the Clockhouse Restaurant in Tomintoul.

This will be a relatively easy walk of about 4 to 5 miles in the valley of the River Avon and is the perfect way for blowing away the cobwebs with a touch of the 'hair of the dog'.  David will point out the flora and fauna along the way which can include Lapwings, Curlew, Oystercatchers,  Ravens, and maybe glimpse of Golden Eagle, Mountain Hares and Red Deer.

David will offer you a couple of drams along the way and a 'Rusty Tack' , a warming elixir for non whisky lovers.  Lunch is included in the ticket price.

Please wear stout footwear and suitable outdoor clothing as the weather in May can be inclement and changable.

Drams for over 18's only

All proceeds after costs will be donated to the Whisky and Heritage Project in Dufftown
