The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival is one of the Scotland's premier events. This achievement is only possible thanks to the generosity of our Funders, Partners, Supporters, Members, Event Providers, Community Groups and Volunteers, whose involvement enables us to maintain the ambition and scale of the Festival.

Diageo
Diageo is the world's leading premium drinks business with an outstanding collection of international brands across spirits, wine and beer. Many of our brands have been around for generations, while some have been developed more recently to meet new consumer tastes and experiences. Our great range of brands and geographic spread means that people can celebrate with our products at every occasion no matter where they are in the world. This is why 'celebrating life every day, everywhere' is at the core of what we do.

We really care for the legacy of each of our brands. We want them to be enjoyed by consumers for generations to come, which means we also take our role as a producer of alcohol very seriously. Diageo is at the forefront of industry efforts to promote responsible drinking and is the premier sponsor of the Festival transport.

The Glenlivet
Since 1824 when George Smith was granted a licence for the remote parish of Glenlivet and the first legally produced Glenlivet whisky began to flow, the single malt that started it all has led the way. There were battles to fight with whisky smugglers and a hostile climate to withstand but against almost insuperable odds George Smith and his precious whisky prevailed.

The Glenlivet, the flagship single malt from Chivas Brothers, has become the world’s second favourite single malt Scotch whisky and the biggest exported single malt to the United States and the delicious range of The Glenlivet single malts still lead the way. As the new Master Distiller, Alan Winchester will “maintain the tradition started by George Smith – the reference point for the industry”.

The Glenlivet experience remains as incomparable as the whisky itself. The free distillery visit and the fascinating hands-on display of the glen and its history are not to be missed. More..

Silver Partners:

Benromach
Located on the outskirts of the ancient market town of Forres in Speyside is Scotland's best-kept secret. From a small and almost lost distillery emerged a single malt with distinctive qualities reflecting its exclusive hand made credentials as well as encapsulating the self-reliance, sophistication and modern values of Scotland today.

Just two experienced distillers create Benromach using the finest Scottish barley and the purest spring water from the nearby Romach Hills. They personally ensure that only the highest quality spirit is filled into sturdy oak casks before being left to mature at Benromach Distillery for many years.

At Benromach we passionately craft high quality single malt whisky with minimal impact on the environment.

Golden in colour, with a unique warm mellow character - the secret of Benromach is too good to be kept. Stylish and sophisticated, Benromach is a drink to share special moments with special people.

Glen Grant
Created in 1840, GlenGrant, a single malt Scotch whisky, is the world's No. 3 best-selling single malt whisky and the market leader in Italy. Known for its clear colour and pure taste derived from the purifiers and stills designed by its inventor James Grant, GlenGrant distinguishes itself for its quality, authenticity and versatility.

Each year around 10.000 visitors discover the magic of The Glen Grant's distillery. Connoisseurs and first time imbibers from around the world tour our distillery and often take home bottles and memorabilia of their unique Single Malt experience. Visitors can choose from guided tours and private tastings offered by our friendly distillery staff.

When James Grant founded his distillery in Speyside, he decided to celebrate the natural beauty of the area by building an elegant Victorian garden. We have recently restored these beautiful gardens to their full original glory. Follow the small path as it winds its way up the garden passing glorious flowerbeds and luscious lawns. The pathway crisscrosses the stream and leads to a little cave where Major Grant kept his own private Glen Grant barrel.

The Whisky Shop Dufftown
The Whisky Shop Dufftown is in the heart of Speyside and The Malt Whisky Trail. We offer an exceptional selection of over 600 single malt Scotch whiskies for you to buy on-line, over the phone or by dropping in to see us in Dufftown. At the shop we have many of our whiskies available for you to try. We aim to give helpful advice on how to fully enjoy Scotland's finest product. We hold regular whisky tastings for groups or individuals by arrangement. When visiting the area we can help you organise your whisky tours and distillery trips. Our online whisky store allows you not only to find whiskies you already love, but to find great whisky that you have yet to try by letting you search by style and flavours.

Glenfarclas
Established in 1836, Glenfarclas will celebrate their 175th anniversary in 2011. The distillery was purchased by the Grant family in 1865 for £511.19 and currently the 5th and 6th generation of the Grant family own and manage the distillery, which is one of only a handful that are truly independent family run businesses. Independence gives Glenfarclas the freedom to be uncompromising in their commitment to the founding principle of producing superior quality Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, in a traditional Speyside style with a heavy sherry influence.

Glenfarclas was one of the first distilleries to open a visitor centre in 1973. Take a tour of the distillery with one of their knowledgeable guides and discover not only the magic of malt whisky production, but the unique history of Family owned Glenfarclas. After your tour relax with a dram in the splendor of the Ship's Room.
